POSCO Construction wins the remodeling project for 'Buyeong Apartment' in Eotcheon-dong, Seoul.
POSCO Construction announced on the 29th that it was selected as the construction company for the remodeling of the Buyeong Apartment in Eotcheon-dong, Seoul, following the general assembly held on the 26th. The project is valued at approximately 1.8 trillion won.
The Buyeong Apartment, built in 1994, is the first vertical expansion remodeling project in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, since the government allowed vertical expansions. The complex consists of 7 buildings, with 712 units, each 74.5㎡, spanning from the basement 1st floor to the 15th floor.
As part of the remodeling, two additional basement floors and three additional floors will be added, transforming the complex into 818 units, an increase of 106 units compared to the original design.
POSCO Construction plans to build underground parking directly connected to the units via elevators, and also create a rooftop garden. The complex is located near the subway Line 5’s Balsan Station and Line 9’s Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, and is close to schools such as Eungyang Elementary School, Deungmyung Middle School, and Deungchon High School.
A representative from POSCO Construction stated, "The Buyeong Apartment in Eotcheon-dong is the first case of a remodeling project in the Gangseo area, which is rapidly emerging as an alternative to urban redevelopment projects. We aim to present a new residential culture that fits the evolving urban paradigm."
