POSCO Construction Wins Remodeling Project for Bowon Apartment in Suji, Yongin
POSCO E&C has been selected as the contractor for the remodeling project of Bowon Apartment in Suji, Yongin, with a construction cost of approximately 170 billion KRW.
At the general meeting for selecting the remodeling contractor, held on the 27th at Dankook University’s Jukjeon Campus, POSCO E&C won the contract with 428 out of 431 participating members (99.3%) voting in favor.
Built in 1994, Suji Bowon Apartment is now in its 26th year. POSCO E&C plans to transform the current five-building complex of 619 units (B1–15F) into a seven-building complex with 711 units (B3–22F) through horizontal and annex extensions. Of these, 92 newly constructed units will be available for general sale.
Despite its prime location near the Sinbundang Line, the apartment complex has been relatively undervalued compared to its surroundings. To enhance its appeal, POSCO E&C will incorporate its proprietary steel plate "PosMAC" into the curtain-wall façade of select buildings. Additionally, a rooftop garden and a Mom’s Café will be placed above the daycare center and community facilities.
