Daewoo & Jungheung Consortium Selected for Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town Residential Complex Design Competition
(Daegu = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Seung-hyung = The Gyeongbuk Development Corporation announced on the 8th that it has selected the Daewoo & Jungheung Consortium as the winner of the special design competition for multi-family residential land in the second phase of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town.
The special design method supplies land to private developers who present the most outstanding design proposals.
To attract large-scale branded apartment complexes and revitalize the new town, the corporation decided to allocate land through a special design competition rather than by bidding or lottery. Three companies, including the Daewoo & Jungheung Consortium, participated in the competition.
The land provided through this competition spans approximately 116,000 square meters in the second phase of the new town.
The planned residential complex will include about 2,100 units, with the tallest buildings reaching up to 35 stories. More than 300 units will be over 40 pyeong (approximately 132 square meters) in size.
