POSCO Engineering & Construction has won the remodeling project for the Hangaram Shilla Apartments in Anyang.


POSCO Engineering & Construction has won the remodeling project for Hangaram Shilla Apartments in Anyang, marking the start of its full-scale remodeling acquisition race for the second half of the year.

POSCO Engineering & Construction, which has ranked first in remodeling contracts for several years, only secured one project in the first half of this year, the remodeling of Seongbok Station Riverpark Apartments. However, it is expected to win seven more projects in the second half, including the remodeling of Hangaram Shilla Apartments in Anyang.

At the selection meeting held on the 23rd, POSCO Engineering & Construction was chosen as the contractor for the remodeling of Hangaram Shilla Apartments, thanks to strong support from the association members.

Built in 1992, the apartment will be remodeled from 1,068 units to 1,197 units, with the project cost estimated at approximately 3.256 billion KRW.

The location benefits from proximity to Pyeongchon Station on Subway Line 4, and excellent school districts, with nearby schools such as Burim Elementary, Buam Elementary, Buam Middle, Burim Middle, and Dongan High.

POSCO Engineering & Construction is also preparing for the selection meeting of the remodeling project for the Byeokjeogol Jugong 8th Complex in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, scheduled for the 30th. The company is expected to be the main contractor after being selected as the preferred negotiator.

The Byeokjeogol Jugong 8th Complex, built in 1997, will be remodeled from 1,548 units to 1,656 units.

In about five months, over two-thirds of the owners and a majority of each building's residents have agreed to proceed, showing a strong commitment to the project, which is expected to move quickly.

In addition, more remodeling contracts are expected next month. The remodeling of the 16th Complex in Munchon Village, Goyang, will have a contractor selection meeting next month, where POSCO Engineering & Construction is likely to be chosen as the contractor.

Other expected projects include the remodeling of Myeongil Central Heights, Jamsil Hyundai Apartments in Songpa, and Seongwon Towol Grand Town in Changwon, where POSCO Engineering & Construction has been selected as the preferred negotiator.

For the Seongwon Towol Grand Town project, expected to cost around 2 trillion KRW, POSCO Engineering & Construction plans to take the lead as the main contractor. The complex, which currently has 6,252 units, will be remodeled to 7,189 units.

POSCO Engineering & Construction is also expected to be selected as the preferred negotiator for the remodeling of Sinbanpo Cheonggu Apartments in Seocho, with additional contracts expected in the second half of the year.
