First remodeling order of the year... Exterior design featuring Steel Art Wall and other special features
POSCO Construction was selected as the contractor for the remodeling of Chowon SeKyung Apartments in Pyeongchon New Town during the contractor selection meeting held on the 14th. This marks POSCO Construction's first remodeling project win of the year.
The Chowon SeKyung Apartments, located at 896-2 Pyeongchon-dong, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, were built in 1996, and the building is now 27 years old.
The apartments are situated in one of Pyeongchon’s best locations, offering direct access to Pyeongchon Station and proximity to Pyeongchon Central Park.
The plan involves remodeling the current 709 units into 781 units through horizontal and additional construction, with the 72 newly added units available for general sale.
The total project cost is 244.6 billion KRW.
POSCO Construction proposed several specialized designs for the project, including steel art walls using POSMAC steel plates and curtain wall looks with customized side wall designs for a grand exterior. They also plan to create a new central park within the complex, connecting with Pyeongchon Central Park.
The current ground parking lot will be transformed into five themed gardens, while the underground parking, originally one floor, will be expanded to four floors, doubling the parking space per unit from 0.63 to 1.3, greatly improving parking convenience for residents.
A POSCO Construction representative stated, “With extensive experience and know-how accumulated from successful projects in the first-generation new towns, we will pour all efforts into transforming this project into the best luxury complex in Pyeongchon New Town.”
POSCO Construction, the leader in remodeling project wins, has elevated its Remodeling Group within the Urban Regeneration Division to a dedicated Remodeling Division this year. This organizational change is expected to further solidify its leadership position in the remodeling industry.
